About the Role
The Pipeline Integrity Technician II is a skilled field position responsible for performing and supporting pipeline integrity, maintenance, excavation, coating, and construction activities with limited supervision. This role performs labor-intensive field work while also taking on greater responsibility for jobsite readiness, crew support, equipment use, work quality, and safe execution of assigned tasks.
This position is intended for individuals with prior field experience who can work productively on active pipeline and facility projects and help guide less experienced crew members.
This position also conducted electrical surveys as it relates to pipeline and facilities such as Test Station readings, Close Interval Surveys. Level II technicians also maintains as-built redline drawings for field installation.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all duties associated with Pipeline Integrity Technician I
Execute labor, excavation support, coating support, cleanup, and material handling tasks with minimal supervision
Assist with exposing pipe, cleaning pipe, preparing surfaces, applying coatings or wraps, and restoring work areas
Safely operate basic construction tools and small equipment within training and authorization limits
Support hydro-excavation, excavation, pipe maintenance, atmospheric/coating, and integrity-related field activities
Inspect tools, materials, and equipment before use and report deficiencies
Help ensure work areas are organized, safe, and compliant with company and client requirements
Read and follow basic work instructions, drawings, site plans, and task assignments
Assist with mentoring entry-level technicians and new labor personnel on proper field practices
Communicate daily progress, field conditions, and material needs to crew leadership
Support documentation of field activities,
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and more with assistance
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, shovel, and work with hands for extended periods
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, uneven terrain, and remote locations
Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, FR clothing, high-visibility clothing, and respiratory protection when required
Work Conditions
Field-based position with frequent travel
West Virginia headquartered
Must be willing to travel and stay away from home for extended durations
Hotel accommodations and per diem provided
Overtime, weekends, and irregular schedules may be required based on project demands
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior construction, pipeline, coating, excavation, or labor experience preferred but not required.
Ability to learn field procedures, safety expectations, and equipment handling.
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew.
Valid driver’s license Required.
Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings, drug and alcohol, fit-for-duty requirements, and client site requirements.
